The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, mni, has expressed excitement as news broke in the evening of Thursday, 28th September, 2022 that a Professor of Law in the Faculty of Law, Lagos State University, Prof. Muhammed Taofeeq Abdulrazaq, has been conferred with the status of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

In the list announced by the Legal Practitioners` Privileges Committee,

Prof. Abdulrazaq, a former Acting Dean of the Faculty, was listed alongside seven others under the Academics section.

The Vice Chancellor, while congratulating the legal luminary, observes that his elevation to the privileged and exclusive rank was based on his proven integrity, hardwork and contributions to the legal education in Nigeria, and felicitates with him most warmly on the achievement.

She adds that his elevation is another testament to the array of world-class professionals in the employ of the Lagos State University and prays that the light of more members of staff will shine for the world to see.

She congratulates the Faculty of Law on the feat and the university community as a whole especially as the institution is still basking in the euphoria of the news of members of staff whose elevation to various statuses were announced earlier on the same day.
