Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and Hon. Yakubu Dogara.
According to the Cable, the security operatives attached to the two presiding officers of the national assembly were directed to report to the DSS headquarters “with immediate effect”.
There was no reason given for the withdrawal of the operatives, although, it is believed to have come with the notice of the Presidency.
Recall that the nPDP, who Dogara and Saraki are part of, wrote a letter to the leadership of the APC complaining of marginalisation in key appointments. Talks are set to be made tomorrow, ahead of the party’s national convention and in preparation for the 2019 elections.
The DSS are yet to make a statement regarding the withdrawal of its operatives.
