Your security, welfare remain top priority – DG NYSC tells Corps members

The Director General of National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Brig. Gen YD Ahmed, has assured that the security and welfare of Corps members remain top priority of the President Tinubu administration.

Ahmed spoke during a during a familiarisation visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Boro Town, Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area, Bayelsa State.

He commended the Corps members for their high level of discipline in the camp and urged them to strictly adhere to the rules and regulations of the Scheme.

Speaking on the importance of the NYSC SAED programme, the DG encouraged the Corps members to key into programme, which is aimed at making them to be self reliant and future employers of labour.

Ahmed also charged them to take responsibility of their personal security by being vigilant at all times and also read the security tips booklet given to them, while cautioning them to avoid posting NYSC activities on social media.

The DG equally admonished Corps members to desist from needless adventures and night journeys due to dangers on the road.

Earlier, the State Coordinator, Mrs Okpalifo Obiageli Charity, briefed the Director General on the camp situation and said that the Corps members have adjusted to the regimented lifestyle and have shown high level of discipline by actively participating in all camp activities.
