Transfer: Nigerian defender joins Portuguese club, CD Tondela

Nigeria defender, Emmanuel Maviram has sealed a move to Portuguese club, CD Tondela.

The 23-year-old linked up with Tondela from another Portuguese outfit, FC Vilaverdense.

Maviram signed a two-year contract with his new club.

The left-back has been playing in Portugal since 2019.

The player expressed his happiness following the move.

“Thank you very much, Tondela, for this opportunity and for placing your trust in me”, he told the club’s official website.

“I’m a full-back, so my priority is to defend, I have to focus on closing down the ball well.

“But that’s not all, I also attack and support the team going forward. Above all, I’m available to the team.”
