Paris 2024 Olympics: Super Falcons will bounce back from Brazil defeat – Enoh

Nigeria’s sports minister, John Enoh has tipped the Super Falcons to bounce back from the defeat to Brazil.

Randy Waldrum’s side started their campaign at the 2024 Olympic Games with a 1-0 loss to the Samba Girls at the Matmut Atlantique Stadium, Bordeaux on Thursday night.

Gabi Nunes scored the winning goal for Brazil eight minutes before the break.

Despite the defeat, Enoh is optimistic the Super Falcons will progress further in the women’s football event.

“Our hopes for this team is high. I leave here with strong hope that the Super Falcons can still qualify,” Enoh said after the game.

The Super Falcons will lock horns with world champions Spain in their next game on Sunday.
