NPFL: Ogbuagu, Esobe join Abia Warriors

Abia Warriors have completed the signing of Emmanuel Ogbuagu and Chukwudi Esobe ahead of the 2024/25 Nigeria Nigeria Premier Football League season.

Ogbuagu and Esobe joined the Umuahia-based club from Sunshine Stars and Heartland respectively.

Both players signed a one-year contract with the 2024 President Federation Cup finalists.

Ogbuagu was a subject of interest from four NPFL clubs but decided to pitch tent with Abia Warriors.

He scored twice for Sunshine Stars last season.

Esobe on the other hand made seven appearance for Heartland and scored three goals.

Both players are expected to form a key part of Imama Amapakabo’s side next season.

Abia Warriors will kick-start their campaign with an home fixture against Remo Stars.
