LAND DISPUTE: REALTOR CRIES OUT OVER ARREST AND INTIMIDATION THREAT BY EFCC

Popular Lagos realtor, Iroko Ajiboye has cried out to the public to come to his aid over the threat to his life and property by EFCC that has been violating his fundamental human right over the issue of a land dispute.

According to Iroko, the EFCC has been taking side with a party over the other instead of running an investigation to determine the genuine owner of the expanse of land in Abule Onilu, in Alimosho local government area of Lagos state.

Iroko explained further that a certain Prince Dele S. Osibote has been using the anti graft agency illegally to harass and hoodwink him into submitting his property to an illegal party who only banked on his relationship with some officers of the anti graft agency to perpetrate the evil act of forcing him to release his title.

The EFCC, who claimed they acted on a petition written by Osibote according to Iroko, has been making life a living hell for him.

Iroko, faulted the EFCC that should have invited him to come and defend the petition, but, instead, they swung into action, disgracing and humiliating him in front of his family members and neighbors like a criminal by arresting him and dragging him out from his home.

Iroko said he was not aware of the reason for his arrest at first until he got to the Ikoyi office of the EFCC where the petition was shown to him.

Despite explaining that the petition does not in anyway tally with what was in dispute with petitioner, the EFCC detained him and did not release him until after three days.

Iroko said further that he had to part with a huge amount, when his liberty and freedom was taken forcefully away from him by the anti graft agency who failed to listen to his side of the story except the petitioner.

The realtor explained further that he bought the disputed land genuinely from the family (owners) and he was given all the necessary documents to back it up including the Supreme Court judgement(Suit No. SC/171/75) that awarded the ownership of the land to the family. But, Prince Osibote came up with an illegal moves to claim acquisition of the same property by using EFCC and OPC to chase the original owner away.

Iroko asked how possible is it for someone to claim ownership of land with just survey as his document compared to him that has all the necessary documents?

Iroko alleges that instead of EFCC conducting investigation that is very clear based on documents made available by both parties, it decided to continue the threat of arrest of the rightful owner of the property.

Iroko who has taken the matter to court already, still wonder why EFCC is still harassing him and preventing him to live a normal life.

Iroko said he is appealing to the general public and relevant authourities to save him from this injustice that is being perpetrated by EFCC and Prince Osibote.
