EPL: Awoniyi out of Nottingham Forest pre-season tour

Taiwo Awoniyi has been exempted from Nottingham Forest’s pre-season tour of Spain, DAILY POST reports.

Awoniyi, according to reports, was excused from the tour for family reasons.

Nottingham Forest will engage in three friendly games during the tour.

The 26-year-old endured an injury-ravaged campaign last season.

The Nigeria international scored six goals with the Tricky Trees managing to escape relegation.

Steve Cooper’s side will kick off the new season with a home fixture against Bournemouth on August 17.
