The Jigawa State Government has announced a relaxation of the curfew in eight local government areas.

This was contained in a statement signed by the state Commissioner of Information, Honorable Sagir Musa Ahmed, and issued to DAILY POST on Saturday.

The statement noted that the state government has also lifted the curfew in 19 other LGAs following a review of the current security situation in the area.

According to the statement, “The State Joint Security Committee, chaired by Governor Malam Umar Namadi, made the decision after reviewing reports from security agencies across the state.”

The curfew for Babura, Birnin Kudu, Dutse, Gumel, Hadejia, Kazaure, Kiyawa, and Roni will now be from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., pending further improvement in the security situation.
